Spire ("we", "our", or "the app") is a household budget management application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures including Row Level Security (RLS) to ensure your data is only accessible to you.
When you use the receipt scanning feature, the text extracted from receipt images is processed by an AI service to categorize your expenses. Only the extracted text is sent for processing — your original receipt images are not stored on our servers.
If you use the family budget feature, your shared budget data (expenses, goals, and limits) is visible to family members you invite. Each family member must create their own account. You can leave a family group at any time.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Data is only shared with the third-party services listed above for the sole purpose of providing app functionality.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at supportspireapp@gmail.com.
Spire is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
